Thanks everyone, I have decided on the Calphalon. Tvme, after measuring my cooktop, I think the 10-in. pan will work better, thanks for pointing that out.

We did this at my very first job, the women's club sold the cookbooks for $5 each. It was lot's of work. The cookbook's were published by Circulation Service in Shawnee Mission, KS, which I could not find on the internet. You might try here.

BTY, I am still using one of the cookbooks, it's has been my very favorite since 1978.

This is the pan I have now; the reason I don't like it is the LONG handle. I have cast iron and waterless in storage, but don't know when I would be close to the storage area.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving. Once, we had 50 very extended family members at Thanksgiving. It was one of the best Thanksgiving dinner's I ever had, but my lovely Mother's last.

Calphalon or Cuisinart???
I replaced my everyday pan, but am not happy with the new one. I found 2 pans, I like, on Amazon. Please help me decide which is the best quality?
Calphalon?

I bake my cornbread the week before, to give it time to dry out. Several days before cooking, I combine the cornbread with rich chicken stock, chunks of onion and celery; let it stand in the frig. Before cooking, I add eggs, several pieces of toasted crisp bread, salt, pepper and more stock, if needed. Bake slow, 325 degrees for about an hour or until brown.
My dd made her first dressing, last year, by this recipe. She procrastinated, was not able to find chicken backs for the broth, did not let it stand. She said it did not have a chicken taste... she will try again this year. I wonder if she has started cooking yet? Probably, she is just baking the cornbread. I wish I were there with her.

The Monaco service center, in Wildwood, FL, assigns 2 techs per job, @ $92 each. We have been there twice, both times our assigned techs were dumb & dumber. Just last week, we went to get our passenger side windshield replaced, which we scheduled WEEKS in advance; of course they ordered the wrong windshield.
